I have created a mock-up of my magazine content page to demonstrate how the images will be set out and the informations required as well. This helps in the planning of my magazine because it allows me to organise it correctly ensuring it includes all the conventions necessary.

Music Artist Profile

Here is a presentation about my music artist. It informs you about their biography, style, cultural significance and ideologies. This is helpful because it helps create a style in the planning of my magazine.

Chosen Title Block

I have chosen this title block to use in my indie rock magazine as it received the most votes on the voting poll. In addition, I believe it is the title block most suitable and related to the genre of magazine I want to produce. The reason I have made ID capital is a play on the word to signify the individuality and identification of each audience member, I purposely made the letters 'ID' red to make this evident. I have chosen this bold font style because it appears quite grungy (making a close connection to the genre of the magazine) and has a unique look to it, also supporting the personality of my target audience. This font will stand out on the cover of my magazine and attract attention, hopefully becoming appealing to the readers.

Focus Group For Music Magazine Planning

I have created a focus group with my target audience to help with my music magazine planning. It helped ensure that my ideas for the magazine were appropriate. I have found out what color theme would be more suitable for my magazine and what to include in my article. I also found out that my magazine is most likely to succeed if I base my article on bands instead of solo artists. To conclude, I have decided to aim my magazine at both males and females so I have a range of readers.

Preliminary Task - Contents Page

In the content page of my magazine, I have once again included an image of students in the college. It is an image of a few students congregating in the school playground. I chose this image because it suggests a social school life and is appealing to look at. I have used a font from the internet for the title and included page numbers for the articles in the magazine. The colors of the text are linked to the background image.

Preliminary Task - Magazine Cover

I have created a front cover and content page for a sixth form college magazine. I have taken pictures of people around the college to include in my work and I have used photoshop to edit my images. On my front cover I have included headlines of articles included inside the magazine. I have used a font from the internet for the magazine title and also an image of a barcode which was placed on the bottom right hand corner. The colors used for the title were chosen in accordance with the image of the student.
